Hello everyone!
I really, really hope you had lots of rest during the weekend because MONDAY is here again.
You know, the day where work/business/school begins for the week?
Yes,its here again!
And so is Monday’s Inspirational Drive on my blog.
I had a converstaion with someone the other day.
The issue on ground wasdoes God deliberately allow us to go through trials sometimes?
Can this our Father that says He loves us so much indeed sit back and watch us go through some really trying times?
I said yes.
Life isn’t all easy-peasy even when we walk in God’s light.
Ah,the person I was talking to refused o.
E say na lie!
That God cannot allow us to go through stressful or trying times and we should learn to not always bring God into the equation when we are going through tough times.(I wonder who we can bring in then)
I realize that some tough times could be as a result of our own fault or sin or whatever but I truly, sincerely believe that God sometimes allows us to go through trials(not temptations).
You may ask “why”?
There may be different reasons for this including ofcourse,to ultimately bring glory to His name but I will focus on one reason today.
Well,you do remember Job?
You remember that Job lost everything he had in one day?
He lost his children, wealth and he had nothing left to his name.
This was a man who was the richest person in that area(Uz) and had everything going well for him.
Infact, the Bible described Job as blameless,a man of complete integrity,He feared God and stayed away from evil…
And yet God allowed satan to strike Job with terrible boils from head to foot?
God allowed a man that He was proud of to sit by the ashes and scrape his skin with broken pottery?
You may ask-“What kind of God does that?”
What could be His reason for allowing a righteous man to go through such suffering?
Job 23:10,Job said-“But He knows where I am going and when he tests me,I WILL COME OUT AS PURE AS GOLD”!
And that’s it right there!
Gold is made into the jewellery we adorn oursleves with by heating,re-heating and moulding it into the shape needed.
We all wear the finished work on our necks, wrists…(et all) and we are so proud that we have them on.
But that gold had to pass through fire to be on our necks.
So it is with us.
No matter what it is that you are going through…
No matter the trials;
the struggle;
the depression;
the sadness at this trying time you are passing through…
Hold on!
Trust that everything you are going through, will work together for your good.
Romans 5:3 says-“we can rejoice too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance, and endurance develops strenght of character, and character strenghtens our confident hope of salvation”
Ah! I feel like shouting!
The Bible even says that we should rejoice!
Why?
Because in addition to our coming forth as pure gold, trials ultimately strenghtens our confident hope of salvation!
Its a win-win for us!
I personally do not want a road devoid of trials(wierd huh?)
Because challenges prepare me for greater things.
Like someone said,A road without problems is a road leading nowhere.
There is always a story behind every glory,a glory without a story is just bland!(Blehh)
I don’t want that.
The story even prepares you for a life that will touch lives.
Like Rick Warren said in his book “A Purpose Driven Life”, who can best comfort a woman who has lost her husband than one who has lost one herself”?
I am not saying that its good to lose your husband/wife o,but the whole gist of the matter is;-
Trials are the moments in which we are moulded by God.
Through which our faith is built.
Through which our trust in him is streghtened.
So don’t despair Dear.
Stand strong in Christ.
God is moulding you for you to be released into your next level.
The dark night lasteth for only a little while, and after a while cometh the light!
Your darkness shall break into a brighter day…
God’s light shall shine through your seeming darkness to others…
God’s glory shall be made manifest in your life…
Your Life shall speak to others for good…
Just hold on and stay strong.
YOU WILL COME FORTH AS PURE GOLD!
Happy New Week People!
#Greater Grace.
#Go and excel!
Ps:I may share my testimony of one of such trial(s) that God used to mould me into pure gold.keep watching this space!
# much love.
