I have been going through some serious battles for the last one week… battles in my mind basically.
I have been hit with discouragement, tiredness and just plain ‘whats happening Lord????’
Is there an easier path?
Is there a path that perhaps has no opposition?
That’s just easy and free flowing?
That I won’t have to cry and spend hours in prayer?
My book ‘Making A Difference With Your NYSC Year’ is on the roll and the printed copies are ready… but I have just been feeling overwhelmed with a lot ot things… with making plans to get into NYSC camps and spread the awareness… with finances and provision… with thoughts of what if’s…
As I write the above now I smile because just before a breakthrough satan comes with all sorts of discouragement… discouragement and issues that have me crying out to God.
But then that is amazing because I do have to cry out to God. It would be a tragedy to get to the place where I think that I do not have need for God anymore.
So basically, what satan plans to be a pit that I can fall into would instead be a spring board to getting me to go deeper into God which is the greatest thing that can ever happen to me.
But just maybe, there is someone like me out there who has been facing thoughts, battles and issues with what you signed up for in God.
My word of encouragement to us all in the path of God’s purpose for our lives is ‘hold on dears’.
Keep on keeping on in what and where God has called you to be.
We all who have consecrated and dedicated ourselves to walk in God’s purpose really can’t do anything short of following after God’s plan for our lives.
We can’t stop midway, we can rest if need be but we must finish the race.
Like, there’s still a long road in front of us, and we cannot afford to fall off the path.
Early this year in January, I found myself singing to the hymn ‘I’ll be a good soldier, I’ll die at my post’.
That if Christ comes, He will find us doing what we are supposed to be doing for Him and if death comes, death will find us doing what God has called us to do.
Like Apostle Paul said to Timothy…
A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus
“Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.
Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers donât get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.
Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus…
So this walk we signed up for isn’t an enjoyment kind of walk… It is a walk of ‘no matter how hard it gets, Lord, I am going to stay in here and not leave my post’.
That which you have called me to do and be for you, I will do and be. I will not be found as an AWOL officer, I wont abandon my post. I will lean on you for grace and strenght to be strong.
I feel a need to say those words from my heart to God.
I am rededicating myself and saying words I have said to God before with this post.
I am going to stay fixed in you Lord.
No turning back.
I have given myself over to you and your plans for my life… and its only your will I wanna do and live in.
If I jump out outside your will, let whatever I do not work out.
Over and over again, I am yours… your soldier… your daughter… yours.
I hope you will be inspired to stay strong in your own journey and path in God.
And be inspired to also rededicate yourself over to God’s purposes and plans for your life. And to make it as a statement to yourself, satan and everyone who cares to know, that no one and nothing will take you away from God path and purpose for your life.
We will all be good soldiers… we will die at our post.
We will finish well… in Jesus name, amen.
Have an amazing week ahead dears,
Stay strong through the grace God gives you.

Isn’t the Spirit one!
I had posted ‘The Word’ and decided to come here before heading for prayer meeting and I find the same scripture in today’s ‘Word.’ Though used in a different context.
Somehow, I seem to be seeing that verse in Timothy more often. It seems I may have been getting too concerned about civilian life when I ought to face my assignment as a soldier!
It can get discouraging o. But thank you for this reminder to hold one.
I woke with “Casting crowns” by Nathaniel Basset on my lips.
Indeed, I must cast my crowns daily and hold on.

Talk about discouraging, from left, right and centre everyday, one of the enemy’s most effective tools, but it won’t work for us!
The word would be our anchor even much more so in Jesus name, amen!
We stay soldier(ing) B! By God’s grace, amen!
And your post, same verse! Oh, still so strong!!!
Thank God for His Word!
