Frances's Love Letters

What I Learned From Watching A Couple This Week

My dear single ladies and gentlemen,
I’m so thrilled to be able to write to you again; the last time we had correspondence of this sort was in August.
How time flies!
I hope you are all doing well.
Is anyone among us getting married in this season?
It’s been a season of weddings and all. Do share the good news if the bug has hit you too! 🙂

I believe the bug will be hitting lots of us soon… And all the single men and sisters in the house say “amen”!
Original God will give you original husband and wife! Amen!
Lol. I am kidding a little. I jog with Chioma Jesus songs and there’s a part where she says the above.

But playing around aside, do you guys remember when I wrote this letter on why I need a husband?
I had cause to remember what I wrote during the week.
I was with a couple who was practically living that letter right before me.
That was the second time I was taken back to what I wrote in that letter.
The first was in July this year. I was at ROTH Conference organized by Sister Bidemi Mark-Mordi and I was hit again by the realization that I can’t get married to any man that I won’t be able to walk in God’s purposes with.
Sister Bidemi was the one who organized the conference but you could tell that her husband was a huge part of the success of the day.
I imagine if the husband was someone who is reluctant about letting his wife soar in her God-given purpose… how exactly would she have been able to do all she’s doing now?

Then again, during the week, I was with the amazing Dumebi Ezar at JUGS and I am sure they didn’t know that I was watching but I was just struck at the way the husband was running around for the success of the programme.

I chuckle as I write this, but there’s a way Ezar calls her husband’s name that even I think he is familiar with. Lol.
But here’s the thing, there was never a time that she called him that he wasn’t there as her right hand (or right wing?)
JUGS was a success, a very huge success and the truth is it took the both of them to bring that vision to pass – as it should be.

I make it a point to glean wisdom when I sit with couples and sometimes, it’s not like I set out to do so, but lessons just get lighted up in me.

I was again taken back to the reason why I must marry a man who isn’t just content with playing house, but someone who understand God’s overall purpose for the marital relationship.
Two would chase ten thousand and that’s the way God wanted it to be… Couples being a unified and stronger force in enthroning His kingdom upon the earth.

Gone are the days of just marrying because of the physical benefits guys, I encourage us all to look higher.
Remember Francis and Lisa Chan’s video I shared here with us?
Get married with the mind set that this is for God’s glory and you both are running the race to bring God’s glory upon the earth.

And as you draw up your list of a spouse, let the attribute of him/her being one who you can unite with in accomplishing God’s plans upon the earth be a priority for you.

It is my prayer that God would remind us of what matters in this institution of marriage He created and call our attention to those exact things in Jesus name, amen.

May our minds keep getting renewed by God’s word, in Jesus name, amen.

Till my next Love letter to you,
Love and light,
Frances.

Lovely post! There are real Christian couples that can really make you want to get married. I have stayed around a couple of them but I want to share about my father and mentor. I have seen and heard them tell stories about certain experiences and trials they have gone through and in all I saw how my mentor stood his place as a spiritual authority of his home and they traveled. There is nothing like a man who knows his place not just as a financial provider but also as a spiritual covering for his family. And having seen such model and a lot more, I still can’t find myself settling for less. And oh! God bless you for this post. May your ink not run dry.

      Oh wow Cynthia.. wow.

I have taken to praying for men to arise as the men God intended them to be. Oh we need more of your mentor in our world today.. more.. more.

Amen and amen to God using the ink He gave me for Himself..continually.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
      *Love*

It warms my heart every time I see a Christian couple in love. Knowing what I now know I just smile when people say they can’t marry a pastor because of this or that cos I’ve realized overtime that no matter how SPIRIKOKO he is, his wife knows his mumu button

      B oh. lol
      but its so true.
She can have his “sense button”9lol I twisted it), if she stays attuned and committed to making her home a joy filled one.
Its not easy. we single ones are being groomed. God help us all
