One morning in November 2015, I left my quiet time with a burden laid on me to get ladies to see that they can be satisfied in Jesus.
The imagery of single ladies dissatisfied with their lives as a result of the lack of a husband kept running through my mind.
I tried to forget it for a bit till a conversation with a friend had the urgency of the need to address the “incomplete lives” of single ladies closing in on me again.
I responded to that call…
There was an email sent…
A hangout of 9 ladies and “The Women At The Well” was born.

I had no clue and still only have glimpses with what God intends to do with this group of single ladies in Him… but the glimpses I have seen have me jumping for joy.

“The Women At The Well” is simply a group of ladies who love Jesus… much like the Samaritan woman in John 4.
We are ladies who recognize the fact that nothing and no one else can fill us up like Jesus can and the aim is simply to be filled in, with and of Jesus.

“Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst—not ever. VisitThe water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.”
-John 4:13-14 MSG

We realize that no man can make us complete… only Jesus can.
Some of us have gone around and around… much like the Samaritan woman with five husbands and now we simply want to respond to Jesus.

“He said, “Go call your husband and then come back.”
-John 4:16 MSG

We recognize that Jesus wants us to go call our husbands… to give him the old life… to throw it all out and come collect this water from Him.
He’s saying “go call out the old for me and let’s exchange it for my new life… new infilling of you with myself”.
Jesus wants to fill us up, so much so that the spring He starts up in us becomes a free flowing stream, filling up other lives around us with Him in us.

We are the women at the well.
We’ve come to the ultimate well, not the physical well.
We have come to be filled, to be refreshed, to grow, to flourish, to thrive…
We have come to satisfy our needs… our need for Jesus.

Jesus knows that when we are filled with Him, only then is He satisfied that His work in us is done.
When He has filled our empty crevices, the longing of our soul, the emptiness of our hearts…
When He has enthroned Himself in our hearts, then and only then can He be satisfied that He has done the will of His Father concerning us.
And when we finally see this truth, we become free to function in this truth…

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
-John 10:10 AMP

The aim of the “Women of The Well” is and will always be simply to have ladies filled in and with Jesus.
Living a life of joy and satisfaction in Him.
Not being sucked into the world’s cry for the completion of a man… but recognizing that we are first wives of Jesus’ before we become the wife of a man… and Jesus would forever be the only one who can fill us up.

God is raising women filled in and with Him with this group.
Women with wisdom spilling through their lips.
Women who are pillars in their workplaces, families, friendships…
Taking over workplaces for Jesus.
Enthroning God wherever we find ourselves.
Women who have true understanding of our roles in Christ… our roles as wives, mothers…
Women who live and walk in God’s purposes for their lives… filled with the Word and living in the Word.

I foresee a time where this grows into a group where we do not just have single ladies, we throw bridal showers and have the married among us mentoring the young ones.
I foresee ladies wrapped in and with God’s love… taking delight in the TRUTH that only comes from God.
I foresee ladies who understand and live forth God’s word on submission… ladies who are taught by THE TEACHER.
I see ladies who are Deborah’s but wise enough to still be wives of Lapidoths.
I see ladies who their husbands look at and call blessed.
I see all these ladies springing out of this group…
It’s begun already and I couldn’t be more thankful at what God is doing with this group in this day and age.

We hold live meetings every 3rd quarter of the year and have an online group where we discuss issues arising from God’s word, provide encouragement to each other and shield ourselves with prayers.

New members are accepted into the group after every live meeting and you are welcome to join us if this is something you are interested in being a part of. Simply send a mail to 4thewomenatthewell@gmail.com and things will move along from there.

I know you’d be blessed with the resources that will be arising from discussions in the group and ultimately, you’d make a precious addition to the ladies who have come to a realization that pleases the Master’s heart.
And that is the fact that we can only be filled of and with Him.

My prayer is that you let Jesus fill you up and give you the spring that overflows… the spring that only comes forth from Him.

When He Says "I Am With You) (But Is That Enough For Us?) I jogged to Todd Dulaney's "I'll keep running to you" this morning and as I jogged, I inexplicably had tears in my eyes. Maybe because the words were coming alive to me... or maybe because I had just left my quiet time when my only word was "I am with you". I had studied David before I left NYSC last year too and the one thing that stuck was "I am with you", but notice that God doesn't say where He is with you. In the bush or in the palace? In lack or much? In pain or joy? He just says "I am with you" But is that enough for us? Especially when the voices from people, situations and circumstances seem to drown His voice? So as I jogged, I ruminated on all these and though it was still hard to decide, I decided that: "No matter how hard it gets, I'll keep chasing after you... I'll keep running, I'll keep running to YOU"... And that: “I am with you Frances” is enough for me. No one else would ever be with me the way you are anyway. And so I look all around, to the left, to the right, to parents, family, friends…. NONE of them can ever take your place. I am left with “I am with you”. And it’s enough. It’s enough for me. Maybe you've been posed that question too in recent times? In your walk with God and in living in His purpose for your life? Hopefully today's post will help you make a decision to keep running after Him. https://www.hephzibahfrances.com/when-he-says-i-am-with-you-but-is-that-enough-for-us/ Have an ama-mazing week ahead.
