You are ugly.
You will never amount to anything good.
You will never achieve your dreams.
You are not good enough….
The above and more are thoughts that we are faced with almost everyday of our lives…
Remember our are you really ready for greater post at the beginning of the year? We talked about some obstacles on the way to greatness in that post but we will be talking about something else that I think is the biggest obstacle to greatness if we let it.
I’ve discovered that the most important battle to conquer on your way to greatness takes place in the mind…
The battle of self-worth…
The battle of doubts…
The battle of “what ifs”…
The battle of “I’m not good enough”…
These thoughts start out as little bubbles and crystallizes if you let them.
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he…
You cannot rise above what you think you can do.
Your heart thinks that you are not enough? Then you are not enough.
Your thoughts can basically paralyze you with fear if you let it.
Your negative thoughts will keep re-occurring in your mind if you do nothing to counter them.
And that’s the good news, you can do something to counter them.
Just like you have a choice to tune out negativity from others, you also have a choice to not listen to such lies that even your own mind feeds to you.
You can conquer those silly thoughts and when you do(as you will), then you are already on your way to victory.
You can stop them from sinking into you and controlling your actions, How? By giving it all a good combat.
Yes, you counter it all by feeding your mind and renewing your mind with the truth.
Your mind thinks that you are not good enough? Reinforce the truth that you can do all things through Christ.
Your mind thinks that you cannot amount to anything good? Feed it with the story of Joseph in the Bible…
Your thoughts say that you are ugly? Refresh your memory that you are God’s masterpiece, exquisitely crafted by God.
You notice a re-occurring negative thoughts of defeat? Then take control. Know that the battle of stronghold in the mind is even more crucial than the physical obstacles on your way to greatness.
Be more conscious of what you are thinking about.
Counter those negative thoughts with the truth…
The truth of what God has spoken about you.
The truth of what the word of God says about you.
âªChew⬠on it, let the truth come alive in you…ALWAYS.
Make it a deliberate attitude, RENEW your mind with the truth, ALWAYS.
Nip those negative thoughts in the bud.
I am confident that if we can conquer the battle in our mind, then we are well on our way to greatness.
I’ve pretty much navigated the compass to what “truth” is in this post but for more on “truth” stay tuned on wednesday on this blog for our online Bible study… And to that end, please do follow me on bloglovin and click here to get notifications of new posts on your email. Don’t do yourself the great injustice of missing any post on this blog.lol
Remember, not every thought is worth dwelling on, yes I will sieve my thoughts and chose the ones I let grow into something bigger.
I will bring every thought subject to the will of God and chant and chant the truth anytime any thought tries to mess with me.
Yes, even my thoughts will and shall be brought under subjection to the truth.
I will conquer this battle of the mind that stands in the way of my greatness.
What about you?
Happy New Week dearies,
Love,
Frances.

October 13, 2014 at 9:12 amVery true Tessa, I’ve found out that it all starts in the mind, what you THINK you can or can’t do begins from the mind.
#we’ll conquer it.
Thank you for stopping by dear, have a great week ahead.
