The Awakening

Before I started blogging, I used to write on the back of almost all my notes. I didn’t realize that what I was writing could even be shared then, I would just scribble when inspiration hits.

I asked my sister to type and send one of such scribbles last week and she sent the wrong one but today I feel it was exactly the right one to be sent.

Here’s it.

“August 2013

This night,sitting here in this class,I almost wept for the deteriorating stage of things in this world.Women,do you know who you are? Do you know what you are meant to be and do? Do u know that you are meant to be valued? Do you know that your life is meant to illuminate light to even the lives of men? How come you are now this commodity being trampled upon? How come you are worth a piece of rag? How come the men that should adore you now call you a piece of trash. 
O God please help us.Help us find our way and purpose in you once again.Help us find the path that made the virtuous woman’s husband exclaim that she excelled even in the midst of other women.
Help us find our way back to you.”

It didn’t click when she sent it until I listened to a message last night.

You know, since the feed your spirit post, I have almost been gliding and soaring in the spirit. And one of the habits I developed was to listen to message/sermon before I sleep. So last night, I clicked on Prophet Babs Adewunmi’s message titled awakening and I so wish I can send the message to you all.

And so as I was saying, I listened to the awakening and my spirit was rumbling within me.

The exact message under the awakening is Awake Deborah!

And it so resonated with what I wrote last year above but I was still hit by how deep it was.

You know, I personally know that God’s hand is upon my life, I know He has chosen me for something great but even God has told me that I don’t understand the things He wants to use me to do, the niche He wants to use me to fill in this world. He has told me that I am not ordinary and I have an inkling about this but I still don’t know how much this is true in my life, I still don’t understand the great extent for which He wants to use me for His purpose…

Meaning, I am not even fully awakened.

But I do know where He is taking me to, I know God’s hand is upon my life and even though I know this, I am still not fully awakened which is why I wonder, I ponder on the women that do not even know that God has deposited something great and mighty for this season and time in their lives.

I wonder about those ladies that do not even know that their life is more than this right now.

I wonder about those ladies that do not know that they are Deborahs.

Can we be awakened already?

God has deposited so much in us ladies, we cannot just let it go to waste.

Souls, nations, kings…are waiting for us just to come alive.

Can we recognise that the fate of some nations lie in our hands just like Israel lay at Deborah’s hands?

Do we understand that God wants to save our families because of us?

Do we understand that God has a greater plan for us than the academics and marriage we already have planned right now?

Do we understand that God’s eyes are going over the earth looking for those to take over Deborah’s mantle? Women who have God standing behind them… Women who will change the course of the medical world? Women who will turn things around for God?

Ah! Even me who knows God’s hand is on her haven’t yet understood the extent of God’s plan for us women.. but I know it’s bigger than the makeup on our faces and the marriage ring we want so badly.

I wish I can travel all over girls primary and secondary schools to spread this truth, so they will grow up with it but I only have my pen right now, so I will write, and not just write only this post but I am dedicating a category to this-the awakening, to share lessons I learn about the kind of women God has created us to be.

Awake women!

Awake Deborahs!

There’s too much God wants us to do in this world for us to let it go to waste.

I want to light up my world.

I want you to light up your world.

I want us to light up our world for Christ.

I want us to be set on fire for Christ.

Let there be an awakening Lord.

Let there be an awakening from this post even if it’s just one woman.

Let there be an awakening.
