“Prayers for your future husband” almost put me in trouble with this steward  deal…
I related the story here.
Somehow I got into thinking that these books must be my books. The efforts my efforts. The plans of my doing.
Maybe I wasn’t thinking like that out rightly but in my heart, those were my thoughts. It took a test for me to see my heart. So I have had to relive and remind myself of Matthew 25 afresh again.
âAgain, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.”
Matthew 25:14â-â¬15 NIV
What do you think that is your own that you weren’t given?
What do you call “my own” without recourse to the One who entrusted it to you in accordance with  your ability?
Why do you live like it all belongs to you when it really doesn’t?
What is your view of the talents, gifts, money, and abilities that you have?
Do you think that you are just a steward or are you monopolizing it without recourse to the Master who gave it to you?
What does it mean to understand that you are just a steward?
It means that you would use what He gave you for His glory and attempt to take none of the glory for yourself.
It means that you will know that that gift, talent or money isn’t yours, it was given to you for others.. for the edification and strengthening of others.
It means that you will be careful to stay faithful with it; knowing that the One who entrusted it to you hates laziness and lukewarmness.
It means that you won’t hold His talent in a proud way; it is not yours. You were given and so it has nothing to do with who you are..its all Him and no one else.
It means that you won’t hold His gift in defective form.. knowing that all He gave to you is good and in proportion to your ability. When you stay faithful with it, He will increase you as He deems fit.
It means that you will be ready to do what He wills with that gift, talent or money when He wills and how He wills it.
It means that you know you are just the one in possession and not in ownsership of the gift.
It means that you know that its all to fulfill His purpose and not your purpose in the sense of you claiming ownership of it.
It takes a lot to actually understand this point and it may feel like you have but a test comes in that reminds you that the reminder that we are stewards and God owns it all has to continually be at the very forefront of your heart and mind.
God help us all to be good stewards of what He has given to us.
Using it in the right way to the glory of His name in Jesus  name.. amen.

I had next to no “Naomi” in my life when I was growing up.
Oh.. we had godmothers who were given at anglican church when we were baptizes but really… they were maybe just for formality sake.
I had no older Christian woman lighting up the way for me to go after she had walked them herself.
So i walked by trial and error and what seemed right to me and crash and burn I did till God mercifully saved me.
Titus 2 exhorts the older women to teach the younger ones in God’s ways..
There are so many Ruths with no Naomis to speak of and many with Naomis who are just postional heads with little or no impact in the lives of the Ruths
