Roxandra Akinola: Hello Beautiful…

Roxandra Akinola

Roxandra Akinola

Hello Beautiful,

I don’t know if you ever get discouraged and a bit frightened every now and then like I do, if you do then this is for you.
Life is such serious business that we don’t want to mess it up. We have all heard stories and even met people who have squandered their futures with seemingly trivial decisions. And these well meaning stories and life examples make us a bit frightened and discouraged or depressed when we go through down times in our academics, careers, ministry and relationships.
I want to however remind you that after the rain comes sunshine.
The Bible tells us that there is a season for everything under the sun Ecclesiastes 3:1.
No pain lasts forever, no struggle, no difficulty, no challenge! It MUST give way to better days. Yes, discouragement will come  when we do not achieve expected goals but don’t let it break you, encourage yourself in the Lord.
Remember that;  ‘For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief’  Proverbs 24: 16.
Get back on your feet and have another go at that seemingly unyielding situation! God assures us of success but your unflinching commitment is required.
So when you face deadlines and difficult bosses or heartbreak and brick walls take comfort in the knowledge that God is with you all the way, in the valley and on the hilltop. Don’t let that despair overwhelm you.
Hold on!
Morning is just on the other side.
Take a moment and thank God for your storms and bless Him for your trials, He requires this of us 1 Thessalonians 5:18.  Then speak to your soul and encourage yourself in the Lord.
Love always,
Roxandra A.
P.S: You can use these scriptures; Psalms 16:6, 3:2-3, 27: 13-14, 30:5-6 & 11-12, 37, 38: 15, 46: 5, 60:12,  63: 5-8, 66:12, 68: 19.

Wow…lovely writing style. intimate, soft, and gentle. I could almost picture the writer speaking those words gently and softly…it made the words more powerful.

It is so easy to be afraid! People celebrate fear, exalt the bad things and dwell more on the many reasons why things will go bad.

It takes courage to look beyond the present, to take our eyes off the fear and look at the Faithful one. It takes faith to look beyond the mountain to the one that moves mountain. To look beyond the troubles in the world and the storms to the Power behind the universe.

But we must. We should like Caleb say “give me this mountain…” and be assured like Joshua and Caleb when they affirmed that “if the Lord delight in us, He will give the Land into our hands and drive out the inhabitants”

Yes, through it all..through anything, we must believe that we can conquer and come out victorious through Christ Jesus
