Letter To My Future Husband…

Hiiiiii Baby!
I don’t quite know what to call you yet… will it be honey? baby? Or just your name?
Uhm, I am not sure, so just sha know that I am writing this letter to you… you… you… you know yourself! 🙂

I wish I can say that I am writing this letter out of the bottom of my heart filled with love but errrr… thats not the case.
I am writing out of a warning God’s been laying in my heart for both of us…

Soooo Daddy has been giving me little deets on learning to be a woman who will be a blessing to you…
Loving you like He loves us…
Submitting to you and letting you be my head…
Being a blessing to you…
And then maybe when He felt like I might be getting carried away with thinking about the love that we’d share and our kids… so He tapped me one fine Wednesday during service and told me that He’s calling me and you into more WORK… not just to play house.

I sat up straight!
He began to tell me that one person achieves some stuff but if He is making us two, then we are supposed to achieve more… for His kingdom of course.
So He was basically reminding me of the REAL REASON why He wants to bring you and me into the marriage life.
Babe, I was like… huh????

And then He reminded me to go and read this post I had written on why I need a husband before.
He kept repeating “I am calling you both to achieve much more in me”.

I just want to check with you on whether He has been giving you these lessons too.
Has He?
What do you think about this?
Do you think we can achieve this seemingly tall order God wants us to get to?
Sometimes I get to thinking about what God wants to do with us – our marriage and I get a bit scared sometimes…
I hope we can stay fixed under God’s arms and let Him rule because that’s the only way we can thrive and excel where He wants to place us.
I hope I can be a Sarah to you… moving along with you in the direction God places you.
I hope I can bring favour to your life… the type of favour that will catapult you to great heights…
I hope we can raise up Deborah, Daniel and David to love God and be mighty upon the earth…
I hope our marriage can be a light as God wants it to be…

I know there will rough patches and lots of training for us to do in the early years… I hope we can stick it through with God as our wind all the way…

Again, do you feel this call so strongly like I do?
Have you been praying about me and us?
Because He continuously leads me to sow prayers into your life and our marriage… I believe that we’d have to be mightily anchored on Him to not let our marriage be one of the “normal statistics”.
We are aiming for light…
And I pray for grace to fight for this light in our marriage because it takes more than words… it takes us #pushing.

So babe, that’s it ohh…
Just felt the need to double check with you on stuff I have been getting about us.

Praying you grace, strength, favor, increase, wisdom, insight and revelation in everything that you do.
May you be strong in the Lord.
May you grow in Christ.
May you be ten times better than everyone, in your work place, in your business, in your career…
And may you even right now be learning to lovvvvvvve me ohhhh…. love me in ways that would make me forever see God in you and bless Him for the gift of you.
Hehe!
You can tell by the lenght of the looooove that it’s important eh?
Hehe.

I’ve gotta run babe!
Got a wedding to attend, my first in more than a year…
Yeah, I have been moving out of the attending wedding things in a while… too much stress.
I hope and want ours to be simple ohhh!
One that I won’t have to work myself up planning this and that… maybe even hide and do it sef… but that won’t be possible ba? For one I have an Urhobo mom who is in meetings at Catholic Church!
And I am her first daughter… so let’s just say that be ready to come with your mouth to negotiate on guests and all… I’m with you all the way if you want a quiet wedding… just come ready to convince my mom.
Hehe!
