Frances's Love Letters Love&Relationships

Join Us As We Pray For Our Future Spouses

Dear single ladies and gentlemen,
This is my first love letter to you in this year and I am mighty excited about it!

How’s the love life been going?
Are we throwing any bridal showers or bachelor’s party soon?
Or are we still being prepared for the D-day/days?
Don’t fail to get to me when the surprise like Rebekah and Boaz’s own arrives ohhh. We haven’t been a community of singles waiting for God’s own spouse for us for nothing… so don’t bail on us when it happens 🙂

I updated my facebook status during the week with prayers for my future spouse and I could feel that that post was one that the Spirit could use to change mind sets.
You see, I have repeated it over and over that I don’t get worried or anxious about my marital destiny… and I know some persons would want to ask me for tips on how I do it, but it’s really nothing so serious, it simply takes faith.
(Read this post on how faith works in the journey of being married to your spouse…)

It takes faith to not be ruffled up even when the world is trying to jump in your face with their “seize the bae” and it takes something else too…
Prayers…
Prayers for not just yourself but also for your future spouse.

I have been tugged on at odd moments to pray for my future husband.
There was a time last year when I was in Ekiti and I just couldn’t shake off the feeling to pray for him.
I stepped out of my house and there was just this burden to lift him and everything concerning him up to God…
And that was weird because I have never met him (or maybe I have, God hasn’t told me anything yet), but I feel such a strong connection with him in the spirit.
I know, I seem like such a weirdo but I’m certain that I am not alone in this “weirdness”.

You know, you just get such a connection to someone you don’t know and a burden to go on your knees for them…
I don’t play with such times, I have learnt to speak words as placed in my heart into their lives.
If I am going about my day when that happens, I pray as I go along.
If I am in my room, I take calm moments to just lift him up to God… and that’s what I want us all to do today.

I believe that we all know the power of a praying woman/man?
I am currently trying to “come up higher” as regards my prayer life, specifically praying in the spirit (see my personal goals here) and I have realized that the power is in our mouth…stay on your knees, speak the word and let God go to work.

So today, we are doing none of those “Lord when will it be my turn at the altar (I do hope nobody who reads Frances’ love letters still does that, we all know that it’s settled right?)
We will instead be putting our time/mouths to good use by praying for our future husband/wives.
Believe me, I sure hope that my husband is getting tugged on by the Spirit to pray for me as I need all the prayers I can get.
You may not know the guy/lady but trust that the Spirit knows who He is and the prayers will meet him/her at the point of his/her need.

So don’t just read these prayers, open your mouth and send up some offerings unto God…

Father we thank you for this amazing day you’ve made…
We thank you for grace to know you… for faith in you, for life in you, all glory be unto your name.
Lord I come before you today to lift up my future spouse unto your hands… I don’t know him but you do.
I pray for his/her spiritual life… I pray that he/she knows you and lives in you.
I pray that he/she increases daily in the knowledge of who you are, that you fill him with your very own self.
I pray that he/she has gotten to the point where you are her best friend above all others.
Her relationship with you grows from strength to strength and your Word is her light and lamp indeed.
I pray that as you teach her your ways, she yields, obey and learns of and from you.
I pray that her mind is continually being renewed in you.

I lift up the works of his/her hands to you.. it is you who gives the power to make wealth… bless her business, favour her/him in his workplace, make him an indispensable asset in his/her society… let your wisdom that cannot be refuted be dispensed through him/her.
I pray that even now you will teach him/her to love like you love. That your teachings on 1Corinthians 13 will not go unheeded by him/her.
Teach her to submit like the Church does to you the head.
Give her a heart that yields to you… no matter how hard your word maybe, teach her to obey you.

Lord teach him to be a man that places you first. Let you indeed be the authority over his head… from the crown of his head to the sole of his feet, reign therein.
Send him/her friends like Jonathan was to David.
Place people who are divine destiny helpers in his/her path… and lead him/her in the way that you want her/him to go.
May she never derail from your path.
May she/him not make mistakes this year, only your voice shall he/she hear and follow.
This year give him/her overwhelming testimonies that will make him/her weep in joy.
Through him/her let your goodness, awesome power, and love be known to all.
And when you deem fit, orchestrate our paths to meet at just the right time… not a moment sooner than when you say “it is not good for us to be alone”.
And not moments later than when you deem us ready.
We trust you to work out the details in both our lives individually and for when we finally come together as one.
Thank you Jesus, for in Jesus name I have prayed, amen!

I hope you could simply feel God’s arms wrapped around them as you prayed for them.
Make this a habit through out this year and beyond… when you get the nudge, pray for your man/woman.
Pray for their lives and all that concerns them…
God knows them and He is working even now in them.

I would also love you to drop a prayer for your spouse in the comment section below.
Any prayer point you usually use to lift them up to God/something that was laid in your heart as you prayed…
Please comment with it below and give this community of believers an opportunity to pray along with it.

Thank you all so much dears.
Till my next love letter,
Love,
Frances.

PS: I mentioned in our blog plans here that God has been teaching me on a topic “preparation to be a wife 101”.
I can tell you that the areas He gave to me convicted me too and I am currently working on them.
I have listened to a series of messages in this season that just tells me not to take these corrections for granted… I am becoming what/who He wants me to be in this season.
Next week we’ll be starting the series on “preparation to be a wife 101”.
It will be a video series on my Youtube channel and I will also share the words on the blog.
I just love how God moves us into seasons and times.
See all the lessons He’s been teaching us on here and He keeps moving the bar.
My prayer is that every single guy/lady who reads this category of the blog will have a heart yielded to God even as He molds us for our future roles.
So see you here next week as we begin this exciting/pruning/stretching season in Christ.

P.P.S: Today’s our singles hangout like I mentioned here.

The Women At The Well” will be meeting for the first time in 2016.
We’ll be sharing on “Wisdom For the Not Yet Married” along with settling in for a movie date on “War Room” complete with popcorn and all.
Mhen I have prayed for the Spirit to come permeate and fill up every heart and life who comes.

    Dear God,
Let him see you for that is how he can see me. Let him know you for that is how he can know me. Let him love you because that is the only way he can love a girl like me. Let him know your heart beat because that is the only way he can know my heartbeat because you know my heart beat. Encourage him every time lord when he is about to give up, wrap him in your hands and everyday, let him never doubt your love for him. Teach him everyday to love like you love your church even as you teach me each day to submit as unto the Lord. Let him (and me also) graps the length, breath and width of your love for us. Help him to reflect you and completely project you. This and many more I ask in Jesus Name, Amen.
