#Purposeful Living Maximizing Your Potential Series

Introducing: Maximizing Your Potential Series

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?…”

-Isaiah 43:19

In September this year, I got the above word from God.

He said it at the beginning of the month and repeated it on my birthday.

It was confirmed at Church with a word Pastor Nat shared and I found myself asking God “what new thing?”

What exactly do you want to do in this time? This season? Especially when the year is almost coming to an end…

But God kept and still keeps telling me that He wants to do a new thing and yes, even in these times when it seems like the calendar of men is wrapping up for the year.

He says that He is not bound by the calendar of men and He Himself is the one who sets the times and seasons and in this season, He has decided ON HIS OWN to do a new thing for all who will key into it.

And what do we need to position ourselves strategically for this?

(1) Believe

(2) Maximize your potential: the potential He has put into you.

NOTE – A DISCLAIMER HERE:

I am a huge advocate of “knowing your times and seasons” and I know that the world tends to rush people into “doing stuff” but sometimes that isn’t how God rolls.

So if God has you in a waiting season, this isn’t for you, but this series may very well be necessary for you when you want to step into a new season so you can bookmark it and come right back into it after your pruning season.

Now back to our series…

Believing that God wants to do a new thing is simply you leaving out your logic and reasoning and going along with what God’s word says.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

If you must step into the new seasons God has for you, you must be able to perceive and see with God’s eyes and not your own eyes.

You must lay down your own thoughts and ideas, forget the past and run along with where God wants to take you into.

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.”

Your heart must come into alignment with what God wants to do and that’s the process of BELIEVING.

The second stage of coming into a new season is what I want to call “Maximizing your potential”.

If you have been in a waiting season for so long, you might find yourself getting into a rut, where you do not want to do anything or run with anything.

And that is a bit fine with the old season of pruning because He wanted you to be fine with JUST HIM in that season.

But in the new season you are about to step into, you may actually have to DO THINGS and get to work and the transition from doing nothing to doing something is not always easy.

I am currently in this transition and God has been teaching me some things to make my walk and work with and for Him easier.

The ” Maximizing Your Potential Series” will simply teach us how we can go to work with what God has given us, working and partnering with Him to bring to fruition that which He wants to do in and with our lives.

The lessons we will dwell on will be drawn from Habakkuk 2.

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

-Habakkuk 2:2&3

If you are wondering about what the above passage means for “Maximizing Your Potential”, no worries, keep a date with us every Monday in November on the blog.

Let’s dig into how we can #Write (the vision), #Run, #Stay Faithful and #Wait…maximizing our potential while at it.

For today, I want as many of us out there who are worried about how the year has been…

Worried about not making headway…

Worried about our circumstances…

The Lord says that “He will do a new thing and NOW it shall spring forth”.

But you have got to “perceive” what He wants to do.

You may be expecting the new thing to come in an angle and aspect that God isn’t looking at but He has started working on the “New thing” which you need already.

Stay cocooned inside God. Everything you need is Him in. And if you stay cocooned inside Him as you should, He will release what is inside Him to you.

See you on here next week loves.

Have a purpose filled week ahead.

Love and light,

Frances.
