He Surrounds Me With Favour As My Shield!

Hello dearies,
How’s you week/year going?
I am very sorry that I didn’t publish any post on monday (and if you didn’t even notice, then a big, very big side eye to you)
I wasn’t going to post anything today too(wanted to chill for the week and make blog plans for the year) but I have just got a bit of a word for us for #online Bible Study. Couldn’t rest till I typed it out and I hope it blesses someone.

So as most of you know, I am a youth corper right now, and I was posted to Local Government Secretariat for my PPA which is of course no place for a rookie lawyer like me to gain experience. (They don’t even do much work, civil servant things)

corper

Ha! Before the journey back to base on tuesday..

It took all of me to not ask them to reject me so I could go look for a firm instead but I know the leading God has placed in my heart for the year and in order to do that, I need lots of free time.
So I just thought, Frances chill, God will fix things in place, worse come to worse, attach at a firm if you want/if they will allow you.

I resumed today and was posted to the administrative department.
The litigation officer for administrative department looked at me and he was like “you are a lawyer, why were you posted here?”
I told him I was told I can also attach at a firm and he just took me to the oga and told him that what I need is experience, they should allow me to go and attach at a firm.
He said, if they need me they will call me.
As I sat there, I was just still, praying for favour.
I got “#rest” in my spirit as my answer and a scripture was rolling in me…

“He surrounds them with favour as their shield” – Psalm 5:12

Well, the oga agreed to the plan, the litigation officer agreed and basically, all I need to do is to come to the office, sign and go off. (my house is close by so no lele)
Now, what this means is that I have free time to indeed do what God has placed in my heart to do.
Some may say this is normal, but I say no.
NYSC people can stress someone eh but all that happened today was a breeze.
I asked the litigation officer if he has family members as lawyers because I was surprised that he understood. I just thanked him and that was that. No bribe, no shi shi or something, no stress.
If I open up to tell you what God has placed in my heart to do for 2015 during NYSC, you will agree with me that this is God clearing ways, opening doors and making everything come together for good.
This also reminds me of the favour I enjoyed during Law School firm attachment too. (see post here)
I am grateful Lord, I am very grateful.

And I am sharing this testimony for everyone here who needs favour for one thing or the other they have to do.
Stop fretting.
God surrounds us with favour as our shield.
The word is in Psalm 5:12(and lots of other passages), find it there, claim the promise and start speaking and confessing it over your life.
Then watch God work on your behalf.

psalm-5-12
I know this is just the beginning.
When I tell people my belief about NYSC, they snort and all that but for this I have prayed and I believe that it is God’s will that I be here(more on my belief in not re deploying or working NYSC posting coming soon).

I just want everyone reading this to hold this word strongly.
God surrounds us with favour as our shield.
In this year 2015, favour will go with us wherever we may go.
#REST and start claiming your promises in God’s word.

Any corper serving right now can read up my post on Bella Naija on NYSC here.
It just may inspire you to do more and be more for the year that’s spread out in front of you.

For now, I am relapsing into writing plans for the blog for this year.
I will be back on Saturday 🙂
And please, Nkykate, winner of the giveaway ankara jotter, I have sent you emails and tweeted at you with no response from you so far.
I will be picking another winner for the giveaway on Saturday if you don’t get back to me before then. Sorry.

And sorry this is coming in on thursday(not wednesday), I wrote this post yesterday afternoon but network and all sorts of things prevented me from publishing it.

I’ve been awake now since past 3am battling network. I just hope this won’t be how it will be for the next one year sha.hmmm.

Anyways, subscribe below because this blog will be running on a high this year by God’s grace. You don’t wanna miss out 🙂

Much Love Everyone.
Frances.
