Happy New Week everyone!
Today’s words on Monday’s Inspirational Drive is for all entrepreneurs but still, stick around everyone, you will certainly get some tips that will help you in whatever plans you have in your heart to accomplish.
Last week, I had made plans and had ideas streaming in me for business deals.
When it was time to step out of my house to try and make those ideas a reality though, I didn’t want to go out.
I finally went out and almost came back defeated but then, something started ringing in my head as I walked back home.
Genesis 26 – God told Isaac not to go down to Egypt when famine broke out in the Land. He probably intended to do so or must have thought about it but God told Him not to move.
So Isaac stayed in Gerar – He obeyed God – First step of faith – and first step of an entrepreneur who wants to make it in God.
He listens and obeys instructions that God gives to Him. If God says stay in this land or set up your business here, I will bless you here, the godly entrepreneur doesn’t argue, he does what God tells Him to do.
And then if you read further you will see that ISAAC PLANTED.
Isaac planted.
Isaac planted.
Isaac planted crops in the land that God had told him to stay in.
When you look at that word at first sight, it may not mean a thing to you but go back to verse 1, there was a famine in the land, why would anyone be so crazy as to plant during the famine?
But Isaac planted because God had promised to bless him and he believed God. Simple!
But it isn’t really so simple to just go all out is it?
God didn’t say I will bless you when the famine is over, He said, I will bless you and Isaac took God at His word.
Now, there are two things that an entrepreneur can learn from the analysis of Isaac’s business story above.
One is faith and the second lesson is what I want us to dwell on today.
ISAAC PLANTED.
Some of us have seeds (like me).
We have ideas but we haven’t planted them. We haven’t executed them.
If we were waiting for something tangible to happen (because we all have our different stories and challenges) before we can go ahead then that would be fine but no, we simply are scared to plant.
This was what was ringing in my head as I left my house to make plans for the ideas in me.
God has placed an idea in my heart and when it’s time to do something about it, I wanted to stay in my house and eat eba or just laze around.
I wanted to hold back and keep arguing with whether I should go all out or not because I was seeing only the negative obstacles.
But Isaac planted!
If he didn’t plant, God would have had nothing to bless.
For some of us entrepreneurs, it’s not that not God doesn’t want to bless us, but we have nothing in our hands for Him to bless.
We haven’t planted yet, so we cannot reap a hundred fold profit on our crops.
Isaac planted.
Have you planted?
Have you started that business?
Have you set the plans in motion?
Have you carried out all that you have planned?
It is not God’s will that we do not go forward with what He has placed in our hearts to do.
Some of us just need to shake off the paralyzing fear and go all out.
It takes a certain bit of faith to be an entrepreneur, it takes a man/woman who can say that “I will do this, be there a bad economy or not. God has guaranteed a blessing on the works of my hands and I must plant!”
An entrepreneur must be a dogged person.
Resolute.
Determined.
He/she has a strong spine/backbone.
He falters under nothing.
He stands up and follows through with his plans.
He moves.
He fixes his eyes on the hundred fold and reaps as HE PLANTS.
This monday’s inspirational drive goes to all of us who had/have plans to start up businesses in this year (myself inclusive)
Have you planted?
What’s stopping you from planting?
If those reasons aren’t tangible (eg, your waiting on something), then please go all out and plant.
Time’s moving and it waits for no one.
I wish us all exceeding success with our business goals.
Much Love,
Frances.

March 9, 2015 at 11:30 pmRight Efe?
This obedience thingy is a call to action.
Our looking at the negative when we have the go-ahead could be us just being disobedient to what God has laid in our hearts to do.
#grace.

March 9, 2015 at 2:11 pmReading on your specific area of business is also a way of planting. Just as attending seminars and workshops also groom us. I truly can say I haven’t started planting in my own area o.
Thanks for this reminder to plant.
