“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Romans 4:21 KJV

Chapter 8
Now I was balling. In Christ.
My boyfriend expected me to come back to him as usual, groveling and begging but this time an encounter had changed my entire life. And I was just about to discover how life-changing this encounter really was.
After about two weeks of not seeing me, my boyfriend called and said he was coming to see me. At first I almost fell for the biscuits and sweetness he tried to display but then the moment came when he asked me: “so you are really breaking up with me?”
I stood for a bit and listened to my heart rage like the flood of waters… waited for a few split seconds and said “yes”.
He left.
I went to the bush path in front of my hostel where we had just had the conversation, squatted and spoke to God.
“Lord I am leaving this for you..”
I said: “I am coming to you, I place my life in your hands”.
The Holy Spirit’s comfort was such a blessing. He would calm my heart when I wanted to call my ex. All of a sudden I was alone and where I had a companion before; now I had to be comfortable with my individuality.
Jesus became my boyfriend and lover.
I learned to have conversations with God and just speak to him about my life, my day and issues that troubled me.
Church- the house of the Lord became my favourite place. I didn’t mind going to Church every day of the week. I became an exco and worker in Church too, all I wanted to do was to have more of this God who has accepted all of me.
One day my ex saw me and expressed a feeling of being dumped. He said “now you just go to Church etc”.
I couldn’t care less about what He thought, Jesus was now my boyfriend and this boyfriend was enough for me.
Your Turn:
1: Sometimes we think that the relationship sins we have committed can never be forgiven but that’s not true. I met a God who extended His hands of mercy to me and is still doing same today
What have you done?
How far have you gone?
No matter how far gone you think you are, the BLOOD OF JESUS WAS SHED FOR EXACTLY YOUR KIND OF SITUATION.
Believe me, He washed me clean.
Jesus, the son of God, God also Himself was sent by the Father God to save us from our sins. The blood of rams and decisions to stay pure were not able to save us, the only thing that could do so was the blood of Jesus. So God the Father sent His son to die FOR YOU so you can be saved.
“let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,… for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:10, 12 NKJV
Jesus already did the work to give you salvation and forgiveness of sins 2000 years ago but the way it works, you must accept and receive the salvation he died for you to have before you can have it.
What do you need to do? You simply need to make a decision like I did that day to receive Jesus and not the boyfriends.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
John 1:12 KJV
All it takes is to believe in Jesus and confess with your mouth
“But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above ) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
But what does it say?
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
Romans 10:6-11 NKJV
The principle of salvation simply states that you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.
Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God? That He died for your sins? That His blood is able to wash you clean?
If you believe, say these words below:
Lord Jesus I come to you. I have walked my own way for so long. I have sin in my life; I have done things..please forgive me.
Accept me as your son/daughter. I give my life to you. Cleanse me of my righteousness and give me your own Spirit.
Aniont me with the oil of gladness, be my Lord and saviour from today and make my life new. In Jesus name I have prayed..amen!
Congratulations brethren!!

“Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”
And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” So he said, “Teacher, say it.”
“There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”
Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”
And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.”
Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
Luke 7:36-48 NKJV
