“Thus says the Lord: Yet again there shall be heard in this place of which you say, It is a desolate waste, without man and without beast–even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast– [There shall be heard again] the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,…”
Jeremiah 33:10‭-‬11 AMPC

Chapter 14

I was out and about with my boss in Ekiti State when I got the burden for the first time; the burden to pray for my future husband. I thought it was weird and crazy but the pull was so great I succumbed. I had no words to pray for him so I asked the Holy Spirit for help to pray and simply prayed in tongues. I felt like he had issues with his work or business or something career related.

At the time, I had never heard anyone say they were praying for their future husband before except for my roommate at Law School but now the Holy Spirit was leading me on a whole new journey – praying for the one whose name I didn’t know.

It happened some other times through the year 2015 and then I passed out of NYSC year.

In about May 2016 or so I suddenly felt the urge to pray for him again. So that night I  a friend to join me as we pray for our individual husbands. And as I prayed God gave me my fourth book “PRAYERS FOR YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND

As I prayed in tongues, I could suddenly understand the different areas of his life that the Holy Spirit was praying about and I wrote them down.

That jotter from which I wrote the prayers down as given by the Holy Spirit has now become the best selling book “Prayers for your future husband” of today.

Let me backtrack for a bit and mention that in February of that year 2016 I had walked into a meeting where I verily believe that I heard God say that “I shall get married that year”.
It seemed like an impossible thing because at that time I was still single with no brother on the radar.

I didn’t know how this could be. It was so impossible I laughed and then I accepted.

Throughout the year I would pray for my future husband and hold onto my belief and faith in God for my marriage that year.

It had been a rough and dry year for me and I was believing for God’s promises to come to pass still – including marriage.

In November 2016 I was led to pack my bags from Lagos and go back to the State where I had served during NYSC.
I obeyed and went not knowing what I would do when I got there.

I kept believing God for my marriage and lifting my man in prayer as led by the Holy Spirit.

In December 2016, we had a Bible study on our ministry women’s group on Hannah where we saw that Hannah’s son Samuel only came when Hannah relinquished hold of him and offered him back to God.

I had always believed that my marriage would be for God but now God was asking a hard thing of me.

He wanted me to make a vow and lay down my entire marriage for His will. I had no claim unto my husband any longer; we were going to be for God.

I laid on the floor that night as I thought about all my faith in God for my marraige that year. All it did was lead me to this place where God was requiring that same marriage of me absolutely.  It would still be my marriage but not it would be His. For Hia purposes. For His will.

I had waited for the promise for that entire year. Why hold on to His own promises anyway?

I laid down on the floor in that house in Ekiti I was at and I cried out in a vow: “Lord, my marriage shall be for your kingdom”.

YOUR TURN:
1: Have you been trusting God for your marriage?

2: Do you know exactly why God would want to give you a husband for His kingdom?

3: Have you yielded your marital destiny and marriage to God’s will?

4: It is as simple as a prayer away from your heart dedicating your love life and future home for the kingdom of God.

Heaven is looking for a marriage and kingdom couples it can use to distill God’s will and plan on the earth.

Will this marriage be yours?

“How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had surrendered them?”
Deuteronomy 32:30 NKJV

“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.”
Mark 6:7 NKJV

Heaven has always sent out the army in two by two.
Will your “two” be among the “twos” that He sends?

It begins with you dedicating your marriage to Him.

Your daughter/son,
Me
