“The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.”
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NLT
This morning after a time of prayer, I was about to go back to bed when I suddenly remembered the scripture above and like a flash also remembered a lady who has testified at church to struggling with her faith. I thought of how she serves in Church and all the while she was struggling, I wondered if anyone knew and I also knew the Holy Spirit would have me send out an encouragement to someone out there today…
You know, sometimes things happen.
You lose your job…
A family member dies…
A friend leaves…
A spouse breaks his covenant promise to you..
Issues come from all angles to you and you wonder: “is God still there? Is this God really alive?”
Maybe it is as a result of my salvation story and how I came to Christ, but I have never really struggled with whether God exists or not. Only God could have changed me into this person (and still working-in-progress) right now.
But then again maybe I haven’t really experienced something that has shaken me to the core of my salvation. Maybe also for me I have come to a place where there is no option but God.
I go through issues and trials and times of questions but I have never really blamed God enough to want to doubt His existence but I understand that in this fallen world, things happen that could lead many of us to doubt the existence of this good God.
What could be the solution in times like that?
You could reach down and remember His goodness in times past and that would be okay but the scripture above tells of a deeper way of reminding yourself that God exists.
“You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.”
2 Corinthians 3:2 ESV
You see, your life in Christ is one of the deepest work wrought by the Holy Spirit. It is one of God’s most glorious work; that you are who you are today and where you are right now.
Think about who you were before you came to Christ. If you can doubt His existence right now in the midst of the issues, it means that you would also have to doubt yourself.
One of the first things the Holy Spirit does when we come to Him is to begin to work in us.
He worked in you to the point where you are right now. Yes, you are not yet perfect, but you are also not where you used to be.
Think of how He has molded your character. Think of the way in which you used to think before now. Think about hoe He has taken all that and made you someone who your family and friends remark “you have changed oh!”
“Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.”
Imbedded in your heart itself is God’s mark of who He is.
When you struggle with your faith; do not just look unto physical things or circumstances. Look at your heart. Look at the imprint of the Lord’s print upon your heart; THAT WOULD REMIND YOU OF HIS EXISTENCE AND SUPREMACY.
That He could have taken the you you were and made you who you are now, ONLY GOD COULD HAVE DONE THAT.
Prayer:
I say this as a declaration of my faith:
Jesus, I believe in you. I believe in you.
How do you become born again or rededicate my life to Christ?
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:8-10 NKJV
Say this salvation prayer from your heart:
Dear Lord, I come to you today. I admit that I am a sinner. I ask for your mercy. Please forgive me. I accept you as Lord over my life today. Please fill me with your Spirit, in Jesus name I have prayed, amen.

JOYFUL NEWS:
1: THE WOMEN AT THE WELL will be having a few meets at Ibadan and Ado-Ekiti this Easter weekend!
What is the Father’s Girls?
The Father’s Girls is a series of small meetings much like and patterned after the meeting Jesus had with the Samaritan woman in John Chapter 4.
They are small meetings with conversations much like Jesus’ lone conversation with that neglected and guilt-ridden woman at the well.
They are meetings with no condemnation but with only a call to COME SEE A MAN WHO HEALS AND CAN HEAL YOU FROM THE SCARS OF YOUR PAST. HE KNOWS EVERYTHING YOU EVER DID AND EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU AND HOLDS WATER FOR YOU THAT CLEANSES, HEALS, AND REFRESHES.
The Father’s Girls are meetings where the Father is calling “I see your pain, I see your hurt and I want to heal you”
We would have guests share their stories and also with the gift of transparency and openess begin the healing process for the Father’s battered girls.
