Registration day two,tuesday...

Registration day two,tuesday…

Hello,Hello,Hello everybody!!!
OMG,ah swear,I haff missed you all!
It seems like a million years since my last post already.
I hope you had a splendid week oo???

Well,I did promise to do a post on my first week of NLS Lagos, and here it is!
No time,as e dey hot make u dey read.
Lizziee,I hope you are still waiting for it??(Na Saturday I post am o,even if na for night)
And like I promised, pictures boku…And the story long o,so be warned everyone.
But I promised to write so pls,you must read am finish.hehehe…

Ok,Here goes…
From the first, first day…A typical wednesday Registration Morning.see what I passed through??

I arrived NLS Lagos on Monday, got car sick and almost threw up,had diarrhea for almost 2days afterwards(change of environment or what,I don’t know)

I know, you are thinking-“bad things from the start already?”

I was busy from the minute I stepped into school till 6pm!
I was stuck in a cyber cafe the whole day.
The only better thing wey happen that day was that I met Hussien,a colleague from Unimaid that helped me(talk about God’s favour)
I still managed to be my normal bubbly self that day.

Tuesday-You see that picture above? That’s my first picture in NLS,it was taken around 6:30-7am and na gra-gra I take snap am.you probably think that smile was on my face throughout eh?
Wrong!
That smile was the only real smile I had that day.
As atSee as we be like 100L jambitos cuz of file. With Hussien&Eloho,my fellow jam..err,Lawyers... that 6:30am,the hall for registration was already full!
Needless to say,I was only able to do very little that day.
Spill over to Wednesday.

By Wednesday, all signs of bubbly self was gone from me.
Eh,bubbly gini?!
Wey plenty things dey to do???
I frowned all through that day.The stress was too much!
People queued for everything including to photocopy documents!
Like seriously, students were waking up by 4am to go and stand on the queue!

And Thursday was worse!
I was seriously stressed and angry.
Every thing and everyone I saw made me angry.from the minute I got up from bed and remembered that I was in NLS Lagos,my mood changed!
It didn’t help that my friends at NLS Abuja were through with registration by this time and some finished in a day.
Kai!
I was vexing!
Plus the fact that the official that day closed right when I was in front of him,it was bad.(Lizziee, this was when I saw your comment that I said you wouldn’t understand how happy it made me.it made me smile a little, thank you)
I also felt that all my friends in Lagos abandoned me as some had already finished their registration(but the truth is everyone was busy,it was a survival of the fittest)
I was homesick and sad and on calling a friend, broke down in tears(he didn’t know I cried though, you know na,strong girl face)
It was that bad.

But I picked myself up and went out, took a walk, met some people, ate meat&drank pepper soup and tried to make myself happy.(Yea,nice right?)The Pepper Soup Was Worth It sha...
The Spirit inside of me is one that gives joy so it made no sense to me to wallow in sadness.

Friday-I woke up with the thought that for four days in a row,I had not being my normal happy, bubbly self.
I was irritable, tired, and angry at anything and anyone.
But while I was busy complaining,God was busy working on my behalf and He never abandoned me.
I had my best miracle that day.
I Finished registration and was given A space wey be like hot cake for here(B,C,D,share wardrobes)
Choi!
I just looked up and smiled,it wasn’t luck o,My big sweet Daddy up there favoured me.

You’d think the day will end well ba?
But no!
I lost my school fees and hostel accomodation receipts,of which a new one can’t be reissued to you.
I searched and searched, walked around school like a mad woman but twas still nowhere to be found.
Kai!
The tears started all over again(I must have cried more times this week than I did in the last two months combined)
I was so sad and I just prayed to God in tears and decided to forget about it.

Saturday!!!
I woke up to good news!

Receipts had been found by someoneE-business things...
Yay! My God still dey with me kampe!
Like my Brother said to me when I complained,God will take care of me,He’s got me even in Law School and I will worry not!…

Saturday was 20billion all kinds of awesome. At Eko Hotels&Suites. From here on out is the weekend Baby!!!
I and a friend went to Eko Hotels&suites for E-business fair organised by connect Nigeria.
Choi,choi,choi! We had fun!!
If you weren’t there and you are in Lagos, you were wrong! *Tongue out*

It was both intellectually fufilling,an eye opener on many levels and crazily great!
I nor win Ipad sha,but I tell you,it was worth the time I spent there.
I deserved the relaxation I got…Barristers In Equity...

And wait for the big one…

I and my friend took pictures with John Kufuor, former President of Ghana!!*dancing around*
We saw him when He was just coming out from a meeting and like the sharp girls that we are na,we put some pics for inside folder.hehehe…With John Kufuor, former President of Ghana..(nor mind d person,e nor snap am clear)

He was so nice,He joked with us that Nigerian girls should be taken to Ghana…
I was jumping up and down till I got to the hostel!

Saturday was crazily, totally awesome in more ways than one I tell you.Choi, choi, choi! twas too cute!!

As I type this I wonder how I got from tears on Monday to Laughter and Happiness today.
I know its because my Baba at the top has got my back! You love my glasses yeah??
Today is just the beginning of the mighty awesome year I’ll have in NLS Lagos.
I know that I wasn’t wrong when I followed the leading in my heart to fill Lagos in my application.
My God still dey with me kampe!
My one year in NLS Lagos will be all of awesome!

To all my fellow NLS students that just resumed, cool down, calm down.
You may have had a stressful week but trust me,God is with us and His grace is sufficient.
God has got our back gidigba!

One week gone.
Onto the next one(s)!
#God dey!!

Have a splendid weekend!

Ok, wow…ur post really made me feel nostalgic. Made me remember my own days in NLS Abuja. The excitement was nearly doused by the stress of registration and settling in. It’s like the devil sets up stumbling blocks in ur way to steal ur joy. Unfortunately God always has a way of turning everything around to put a smile on ur face in the end. Thank God urs ended in favour. Have a splendid year in NLS and it will surely end in a bigger testimony!
NB: I still wonder why anybody will choose NLS Lagos over abuja…Abuja is still the best any day anytime 😀 😉
