Empty Brained? Chicken Brained? Fish Brained???

I was on my normal blog rolls when I saw an article on http://justusgirlsnaija.wordpress.com (Pastor M’s Blog,if you don’t know it,better port there right now.)
It spoke to me so profoundly.
It met me right at the point where I needed it the most.
At the same moment I was taken back to numerous conversations I’ve had with friends and acquaintances alike.All revolving around READING.

Stick with me for a moment,I’ll explain.Now,I am a reading and writing person(if there’s any word like that).
I wake up in the morning and after my quiet time,I am off to find articles,good stuff that can improve me online.
I don’t care much about chats on BBM,my BB is basically meant for me to read,read&read all that I can find in a day.

You may say that its because I am a blogger but I started this long before I started blogging.
I read pry 6 english textbooks while I was in pry 3.I used to borrow them from my seniors.
I was also a master of awoko on novels/any book that I loved and I remember that I read almost all the books of the old testament in the Bible while I was waiting for my secondary school entrance results at home then.

I still read voraciously,any book that I see that can improve me,I Read!
Its even more fun now that we are in the era of soft copy things.
Kai! All the better.
I sincerely don’t think I’ll know half of what I do today if I don’t read(not that I know much o)

So I really don’t get it when my friends/acquaintances say-“I don’t know how to read abeg,its tiring and always too long”
And again,they say,”reading is a hobby and its not my hobby”

Wow!
Like seriously?
I don’t get it!

The way I see books,Great minds have poured their insights into each one for little or nothing and we gats grab it!
Is it on career?
Is it on motivation?
Is it on inspiration?
Whatever it is you need?
There’s a book for it!
There’s an article for it!
You may not agree with all the writer says but you can take little of each and broaden your horizon.

How can a lady,a real lady walk around looking all pretty but with nothing upstairs?
Or you don’t know your knowledge shows in the words you speak?

You look good and step out looking all classy.
You read just fashion magazines and about celebrity lives and when you open your mouth to speak and hold a reasonable conversation…
Puff!
Everyone just shakes their heads.
All interest is lost in you.
There goes the 5k mac foundation&powder you used on your face,achieving nothing for you.

Why?
Because your brain brings nothing to the table.
Guys these days are smarter than you think.
They are sensible now o.
Even the rugged ones no longer want a bimbo.
They will tell you its brain over beauty.they don’t want boobs with no brain anymore.
Make you too tire for being known for only ya boobs&fine face.

Fill that space up!
You can’t get a book?
Thank God for the E-era we are in.
Go online!
Go to wonderful sites,read articles that can improve you.
For Godsakes,these people share these stuffs for free.

Please abeg,stop to dey fall womanhood hands.
Sometimes,when some girls open their mouths to voice their opinions,I am struck dumb by what they say.
Ignorance is indeed a disease,and its about time that ignorance ends.

Remember,the virtous woman openeth her mouth with wisdom,and the Bible also says get wisdom…

How do you get wisdom?
Through the Bible(which you do have to read)
Through seminars and having sensible mentors(not focusing on this today)
Through reading every other book that can cater for and improve ur brain.

You can’t get wisdom by sifting through only fashion magazines.

Biko,I long for the day when the girls I can run to for advice and that can speak words laced with wisdom to me won’t be just two.
I long for the day when the ratio of Ladies who can hold decent&reasonable conversations will be more than those who can’t.

Please,please,help us,help yourself.
You want to really be a wise woman and virtous lady?
Fill up that brain!
Read,read,read,revamp your thinking and grow!

Errr,I know this post is long o but that’s what I’ve been saying;READ IT!
