Dear Henry…

Dear Henry,
Compliments of the season. I believe you and all yours are doing well?
I pondered on how to couch this letter to you for a long time,but I still found no perfect way to say this so I am just going to say this as it is.
I apologize in advance if it offends your sensibilities,I only pray that it also appeals to your good sense of reasoning.

It seems as though you have forgotten the son of whom you are and the destiny you carry inside you. This letter is to hopefully remind you of both.Lately,I have been seeing you frolicking with ladies of questionable character. If it was just smiles and normal everyday banter alone,I wouldn’t be bothered but I have reason to believe that the banter also follows you to between the sheets (I believe you know what I mean)

My darling, you are not just anyone,you are a son of the most High God,you are a joint heir with Christ and a self-respecting son of the most high God should not be seen engaging in such activities.
You are a light bearer,meant to shine forth your father’s glory to the world but you have been hiding your light under a bushel by your activities with these ladies.
I am worried that you are not representing Christ in a good way but I am more worried about what you are doing to your destiny.

Do you know what really takes place when you go beneath the sheets with these ladies when they are not your wife?
Do you know that sex is not merely physical but spiritual?
Do you know that while tumbling beneath the sheets,an exchange of the contents of your soul takes place?
Do you know that your bright destiny can be derailed by having soul ties with these ladies?
Why do you think that great men of God are felled through sex? Why not through food? Or water?
Why do you think that a great man like Samson was brought down by a woman and his destiny was cut short by same woman?
Proverbs 7 helps to expatiate more on this kind of woman and it ends with- “So, friends, listen to me, take these words of mine most seriously. Don’t fool around with a woman like that; don’t even stroll through her neighborhood. Countless victims come under her spell; she’s the death of many a poor man. She runs a halfway house to hell, fits you out with a shroud and a coffin.”

Oh Henry,I weep at what you are inadvertently doing to yourself.
Oh great son of the most high God,born with such a mighty purpose but allowing yourself to be brought down by lust of the flesh.
You see that hole in you that seems like you have to fill up with sexual satisfaction? That isn’t the problem.
Like “inthe” one of my fave bloggers said- “Where is your head, your heart and the spirit of God within you?? The truth is you have way more
bigger issues than sex at hand; you need
to go find your God”
Your thirst can only be quenched by God. That aching gap can only be filled by God.

I am not writing this to castigate you-far from it.
I am writing this to you because I love you and I want you to become the you that God has created you to be.
I want your light to shine to all as it should. I do not want your light to be dimmed by something as inconsequential as lusts of the flesh.
You can always roll between the sheets with your God given wife-the great woman that will also help you fulfill your destiny when the time is right.
The Holy Spirit is there for you,He will grant you self-control over your sexual desires till the time is right.
But you also have a role to play in this. Re condition your mind,make the decision to be pure and take steps to achieve it…

I saw a friend of yours the other day,he had also made the decision to stay pure. But he was with a beautiful sister I know that he loves,in a dark room with dimmed lights,with feelings and emotions flowing through his veins.
This was clearly an accident waiting to happen.
Don’t light a fire and expect the Holy Spirit to quench it. Don’t stay in such situations and say I am only human. Take your own steps as the Holy Spirit helps you and FLEE!
FLEE from lusts of the flesh that threaten to damn your soul and destiny and hand it all over to God. Let God use you to become the great you He created you to be.

I hope that you now know that- “There’s more to sex than mere skin on skin. Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. As written in Scripture, “The two become one.” Since we want to become spiritually one with the Master, we must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever—the kind of sex that can never “become one.” There is a sense in which sexual sins are different from all others. In sexual sin we violate the sacredness of our own bodies, these bodies that were made for God-given and God-modeled love, for “becoming one” with another. Or didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.” (1Cor 6:16-20)

I will keep praying for you Dear.
I look forward to seeing you live in the light of Christ.
I look forward to seeing you rise above carnal lusts.
I look forward to your conforming your mind to the mind of christ.
I look forward to you becoming the kind of container that God can use fulfill His purpose for your life.

I will keep praying for you.
I hope you run away and let go of these infantile indulgences and run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God.(2Timothy 2:22)
I hope you turn around and come back to our Heavenly Father.
He awaits you.
Your destiny awaits you.
The world awaits your manifestation that can only come forth when you run away from the sins that so easily trips you up and walk in the light of Christ.
I hope that you will.
