Blasting In Tongues Of Insults…

Hello Everyone!
How’s your week been so far? Amazing yeah?
Sorry I haven’t posted since eh,I’ve been up to my neck stuck in here….

Monday-Friday,Na Here!

Monday-Friday,Na Here!

I noticed “one not so good something” that happens with us virtuous ladies this week.It has occurred up to two times in my presence this week and I think that we should talk about it.

You seea Christian Lady, born of the Spirit,of good reputation in your opinion and one you respect…
But yet,her mouth spits out insults in rapid succession whenever she is angry or offended with someone.
In fact,it seems like her tongue is a bazooka that continues to run with harsh words and in loud tones when she is mad at someone.

You see her exhibiting this in almost everywhere, both in private and public;in the bus,in work,in banks,in School…the words that come out of her mouth when she is angry cannot and should not be associated with one such as us.

Can you imagine the impression that someone who does not know us before then will have of us from that singular act?

What about those that have known you for a while and admire from a distance? What do you think runs through their minds when they see you in one of your shouting rows?

???

???

Like-“isn’t this Sis so,so that I see with hands lifted up in worship in Church?”

Whatever happened to gentleness and self-control?(Fruits of the spirit)
Whatever happened to a calm and gentle spirit?

Does the picture of you with hands lifted up in worship with tongues of the Holy Spirit bursting forth align with the one speaking with tongues of insults in harsh tones?

That vs This,Any Correlation??

That vs This,Any Correlation??

I know she annoyed you,but must you make your grievances known in such a way?
Must you raise your voice on her?
Must you insult her?

What’s wrong with sitting her down to quietly tell her what she did?
Doesn’t that seem more mature and in line with what a Daughter Of Zion would do?
Isn’t that the self-control we all speak of?

Remember,we have a reputation to protect. We are not ordinary ladies,we are Light(s) that others follow.
We need to put some pettiness of womanhood behind, our reputation and character matters a lot.
Do your best to live in peace with all men like Apostle Paul says and even if you get offended, resolve it amicably, not in raised voices coupled with insults.

Do not be concerned too much with outward beauty, but place high value in a calm and gentle spirit which is of great price in God’s sight…And yes! Even when you are angry, bridle your tongue!

Someone said to me in defense, that even Jesus got angry and shouted in public one time.
My answer is;wasn’t it when people were selling at the temple he did this? And did he insult them?
No!
When he was insulted time and time again before he was crucified, did he answer?
No!

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.-1Peter 3:9.

We are not perfect, but let us continue to strive for perfection.
Speak like the godly, gentle, graceful Lady you are.
Souls are looking up to you,the attitudes you exhibit, people are watching.
You are a reference point in their lives;don’t let them down by one unguarded moment of anger handled wrongly.
A good character is every thing.
Don’t mar yours by that altercation in public.
Don’t bring yourself down.
Don’t bring womanhood down.
Don’t bring Christianity down.
Resolve your differences in a calm and gentle manner befitting of who you are.

James 1:26 says-; “If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.”

May God help us as we consciously try to inculcate this virtue,in Jesus Name,Amen!

Btw,today is call to Bar at Abuja. And seeing these pictures…

Yes Naijawife, that’s a new slant to it.God must have really worked on ‘us’ to be where we are at now.
But I pray He will also continue to work on ‘us’ more for us to be perfect in Him.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.*big smiles*

Wow what a fascinating write up. Some ladies think that such public display connots wisdom or strenght. Most ladies act this way due to low self esteem.

You took the words right outta my heart…I feel a lady and a Christian one at that should NOT and NEVER make use of certain vocabs in public or private..saddens me to see a respectable lady rantn and shouting at the top of her voice to someone or a group of pple, am not ruling out offences, but it can always be handled in a mature way..thanks for sharing this.

Wow,….the same mouth you use to commune with God, you use in insulting people or saying vane stuff. Its amazing this is the way things are in our society. They left their manners in church, forgetting that we are models of Christ even outside church. Choi, some women sha,..lol, no iota of self control or forgiveness. Anyway, thank you for this post, for being a shinning light unlike our other sisters, lol. Welldone dear and thank you for visiting my blog. Ur blessed and it’s good to meet you, our soon to be barrister, congrats in advance.
