I am calling this gists from our hangout part 2 because I am seriously hung up on documenting how God takes stuff He gives to me from grass to grace… from glory to glory.
So we’d be chronicling till we see part 20, 30, 40, 50… and no one, even me won’t be able to deny what God has done.
The gists from our very first single ladies hangout was posted here.
We had 9 ladies in total at our first hangout and on Saturday I believe we were up to 24 ladies in attendance.
But it wasn’t the number that freaked me… it was God.
I got to the venue late because Saturday was environmental and I had to pick up the popcorn and rinks from Surulere down to VI.
I hit a bit of traffic around CMS area and the load I was lugging around was just too heavy for me to carry (I’ve learnt to ask for help after this incident now).
So as a result, I had ladies who were already at the venue calling me and asking me where I was…
Needless to say, I was a bit ruffled up.
I basically speak in tongues round the clock when I have to speak at anywhere.
I have realized that it calms me down, gives me boldness and just brings power to the words I get to speak.
So I simply prayed that God would touch hearts to not be angry at me and make their waiting worth the while.
I got to the venue and though I was thinking we should watch “War Room” first, Aramide suggested we share the Word first of all and I am glad I followed that because that was what we needed.
As is usual, we started with introductions, about ourselves, what we do, purpose and challenges…
I don’t take stuff I hear for granted as I noted stuff to pray about for some ladies and I would be starting a “Help Me walk in purpose Series” next week on the blog.
I realized that most of us have issues with finding and walking in purpose and God just laid it in my heart to start that up as I cooked in the kitchen yesterday (yes, He comes with His ideas at the oddest of times.lol).
And then I shared on “Wisdom for the not yet married”.
Truth is I got this topic for the hangout since last year but I thought God was saying I should speak on using single hood to walk in purpose in Him.
But the whole thing changed when He said the wisdom for singles in this single hood is for them to “spend time with me without distractions”.
I apologize to everyone who probably had it at the back of their head that we would film a video on our talk… that was the plan as one of us who is currently in the UK even reminded of of that fact but somehow I forgot about the video till we were done with the word and prayers.
It was while I was hugging my fellow sisters that I remembered that oh my God, the video!
But believe me, I am making plans… infact I have put Amaka on the spot, to remind us about videos subsequently.
I would share in writing everything I said if I could only remember everything.
But remember I said that it was simply all God?
The words were coming out from a place I couldn’t recognize… believe me, when I was done, I was just saying “thank you Jesus”… not me… all Him.
And then it was time for prayers…
Just believe me… it was awesome.
God’s Spirit was made manifest.
I believe people left with seeds sown in their hearts and we know I don’t play with such… its a huge part of my work of dispensing God’s Word.. He causes the increase everytime!
And now we have new members to “the Women at the Well group”.
The vision?
Still to raise up women filled with and of Jesus… women who are lights, great wives and mothers in the future… learning our roles and who we are from God’s very Word, not the world.
I am grateful to be a part of this work of God in this time. I am simply an instrument, no more, no less. As fellowship with these sisters has so blessed me, you can’t tell how much!
As ladies shared their dreams and purpose on Saturday, I kept thinking, “this room is packed full of visions God’s laying in hearts. The world will explode when they come to life”.
And for the world to explode, we need Jesus to cook us and prepare us in Him.. we need to be joined to the vine… and that’s what this group is all about.
We will be holding meetings every third quarter of the year (our next meeting should be in April) and we’d only accept new members after each meet.
Just so we can very well manage ourselves and be organized.
We currently do studies and I’m working on a system to get each study in ecopies and hard copies… that means the studies on “the list: revamping our list of a spouse to fit in with God’s list” and “Becoming God’s own kind of women” will be out by our next meet by God’s grace.
So everyone who wants it can get it… lots of wisdom in discussions between ladies who take their stand from the Word… the wisdom won’t be laid to waste.
So till our next meet, we keep building ourselves up in the group…
And I hope you’ll be part of this awesome work in God come April 2016.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came..far and near..God bless you guys… my heart swelled to see people coming from Berger area to VI on a precious Saturday.
I can’t count names… God bless you all!!! lots and lots and lots of love!
Have a blessed week ahead.
Love,
Frances.
PS: Remember, purposeful mondays and deets of events like this exist to also inspire you to walk in God’s purpose for your life.
Don’t read and just thank God for me, I want us to read and start asking God to show us and help us to walk in what He has planned for us to do.
PPS: the “Help Me To Walk In Purpose Series” begins next week Monday, and I know we’d be blessed. So watch out for it.

February 1, 2016 at 11:15 pmIt was an awesome time in God’s Presence and I’m grateful to God that I didn’t miss it for anything. I was challenged and inspired that a lot of young ladies like me who have possibly seen worse situations than I have are thirsty to serve God with all they’ve got.
Frances, I’m grateful to God that I met your blog, then met you. You’ve been a great blessing. And yes, the “Help Me To Walk In Purpose Series” is so needed. God strengthen and refresh you always in Him to remain a light bearer in our generation.
Much love hun
