Author Interview With Frances Okoro || 10 Steps To Walking In Purpose

What I truly feel like writing on today is on the need for us Christians to arise and take our rightful place on our knees… in the war room… in prayers.
But today isn’t #OnlineBibleStudy so we’ll keep that till Wednesday right?
But let me just chip in here; brothers and sisters, this isn’t the time to be a lukewarm Christian.
If you are a Christian and right now you forfeit your time in the Word, you can’t even pray when you get tugged on to pray, you are weak spiritually… you are in the wrong place.
Incase you haven’t noticed, satan isn’t playing with us in this season, there is such a serious attack on Christians – attack on marriages, families, lives, even attack on your walking in God’s purpose for your life and doing what God has called you to do.
You think that laziness, fear and procrastination you feel to do what God has told you to do is from God?
You better wake up!

Where do you go from here?
Start with putting aside 30mins to one hour each day to pray.
Don’t know what to pray for?
That’s why you have the gift of speaking in tongues.
Blast away!
As you do, the Spirit even will place specific prayer points in the gap.
Just avail yourself to stand in the gap in this season. A lot of things are happening fellow believers and most of us are singing celebration in Zion when there is war.

The beautiful thing is we are praying from a place of victory. Our Lord already won. All He asks as He has always done, is a man to stand in the gap, so He can arise on the wings of your prayers.
Let’s end here for today and pick up on Wednesday.
I pray before then, you already would have awaken from your lukewarmness if you are there right now… we must arise. Our prayer altars must not die in Jesus name, amen!

So before I turn today’s #PurposefulMonday to a prayer post (even though we’ll still be praying on stuff from this post), let’s go on into what we have for today.

So if you are new to this blog, let me pop in with some recap.
Last year, my first hard copy book “10 Steps To Walking In Purpose” was launched.
And it has been 6-7months since that book was released and God has been faithful.

If you pick through pieces of info on the blog, you’ll see the hurdles I had to pass just to get God’s instruction to me to come to pass.
Fear was almost a constant companion to me…
Worry was threatening to bug me down…
BUT all through it all, I had God backing me up.
I knew that this book was one step in His plan and purpose for my life.

So I want to ask us all today, do you know God’s will, plan and purpose for your life?
I don’t mean the general will of God for us as believers, I am talking about God’s specific will for your life.

I based my quiet time on Colossians 1 today but didn’t read the whole passage as I was hung up on the prayers in that passage.

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
-Colossians 1:9-12 NIV

And I prayed them, picking them all out one by one.
Praying for God’s will for my life to be made known to me has been a regular part of my life since 2014 when Pastor Nat preached on “the will of God”.
I didn’t know God was going to lead me to delve into it and put it out in a.book. There is a chapter on “the will of God” in the book “10 Steps To Walking In Purpose” as you can’t walk in God’s purpose for your life without knowing His will can you?

So what this book has basically being about for the past 7months is to raise men and women of purpose for God.
The book isn’t really about the book, the book is about spreading God’s word to youths in this generation on living in God’s plan for their lives.
And my NGO “Awakening Youths Initiative” is a huge part of this walk/work. (I will spill more about this later).

So I got together with Amakamedia last year to do an Author Interview based on the book and in Amaka’s words, she said “I am learning more from this interview than I even learnt from the book”.
We spoke on finding and walking in God’s purpose for our lives.
Finding God’s purpose for our lives, basically about us setting ourselves to seek God’s face about what He would have us do on earth for Him.
A lot of the confusion on direction would cease if we would only look unto God for His will for our lives.
Looking unto Him not in anxiety, but in trust and confidence that He knows the path He wants us to take and He would reveal it to us at the right time.
But we can set our face to seek Him.
And knowing that the most important thing in this purpose deal is finding God and having an intimate relationship with Him, like we said here.
Because once we find Him and are wrapped up in Him, we have found ourselves.

So let me not go off in a roll.
Simply watch the interview on my Youtube Channel HERE or at the end of this post.
I pray a lot of th questions in your heart are answered as you watch.

And the FREE PDF of “10 Steps To Walking In Purpose” is also available for download.
If you haven’t downloaded your copy, do so HERE.

And please share this post.
The world today needs God’s light.
Too many philosophies abound on finding purpose in ourselves.
The world has gone crazy with trying to leave God out of things He is the centre of. Help and share as we try to bring God-flavours in this world.
Here’s the video of the interview…

And till our next time on Purposeful Mondays,

P.S: My third book which is my second hard copy book titled “Making A Difference With Your NYSC Year” is already out in print copies. In real time, the book has been released, BUT we will be officially releasing it online next week Monday.

If you are a youth corper/know any youth corper in Nigeria/prospective youth corper, this is a book you must get.

Not just to support me (which you should do.lol) but also to bless your life and others.

God graciously poured out words through me on how our Nigerian youths can indeed make their one year meaningful and not waste it.

So watch out for this new book release next week Monday with details on how to get your own copy.
