Are You Really Ready For Greater?

Hello everyone, how was your weekend? Plenty rest yeah? Still walking with the greater mind set?
Yes, we’ve already established that greater is coming and I am a very big advocate of “greater things ahead”, I do not doubt it for one minute. Remember I even wrote about it here http://imperfectlyperfect92.wordpress.com/2014/01/02/greater-is-coming/

Yes, we’ve declared it, we’ve spoken God’s word back to him but please permit me to share something I discovered we need to do for our greater to come…

In the course of last week, I sent a work of mine for approval and it came back with the “please edit phrase” – you know, the switch this place and that place a little.
In simple words, it came back with the “this isn’t good enough yet” sentence on it and a thought came to my mind as to how easy it would be to just let the project lie there, to just forget about it, to not work on it anymore…
And that’s when the word came so softly-“yes, you dream of greater things ahead, you have faith that, that which God said concerning you will come to fruition and you want to get there so badly but are you ready to do the work?”
Are we ready to do all it takes?
Are you really ready for greater?

We dream of graduating with that first class…
We dream of standing in front of millions to share what God has deposited into us…
We dream of that business conglomerate we want to own…
We dream of stamping our names in forbes someday…
We dream of using our God given talents to make a change…
And by God, all these and more are possible, but are we ready to do the work?
Are we ready to put in all it takes?

We want to touch lives for good but are we ready to spare the time to pray for people, to spare the time to care, to encourage, to uplift a soul?

We are ready for greater, but are we ready to spend time with the God that can make us greater?
Is the word in us?
Are we still muttering little prayers under our breath while brushing our teeth in the morning or are we spending quality quiet time with God and commanding our day even before it starts in Him?
Remember, he who kneels before God will stand before men.

Are we ready to forget the past, to faith it like never before and look beyond what we see now?

Are we ready to drop the weight of everything that held us back in times past?
The laziness, procrastination, fear, regret, disappointment…

Are we ready to burn the midnight candle if need be?

Its going to take more than dreaming and knowing that greater is coming for it to indeed come.
Like @Leke_Alder wrote- “Achievers do more than dream. They pursue dreams, doggedly”
So are you an achiever or a dreamer?

Are you really ready for greater?
Are we willing to go the extra mile? That’s the only way the greater we’ve been promised will come.

I am determining to do some things differently this week, and I enjoin you all to please join me.
Pick a goal on your list that you know is one of the things that God can use to make you greater and dedicate a little extra time to it.
That project you’ve been working on, don’t just let it sit there, work on it a little more than you’ve been doing in time past. Go an extra mile in implementing the road map to achieving your goals, ie, write for 30mins more, read for 1hour more, spend more time with God… Just add yours, and let’s commit to doing it for the week and let’s see how far we go.
Grace, grace, grace, exceeding grace on us Lord I pray.

PS- a friend of mine said I don’t update posts as much as I used to on my blog anymore, and I apologize if anyone else feels that way.
I am trying to work out a schedule that will work for me along with Law School things and from now on I’ll publish posts every mondays and fridays (or only mondays) and MAYBE any day I’m free in between those days, but sha know, I’ll really try not to leave my blog lonely.
Thanks for being there everyone, I mega appreciate your visits, your reading the posts, comments, following my blog et al.
Thank you, God bless you all.
Have an amazing week dearies…

And oh, let me leave you with what Mr Gomba told me…
“Sweat is sweet, great men and women worked more and paid the price to achieve greatness.
Let’s leave our comfort zones and take up bigger battles.”

We’ll all meet at the greater things zone, Amen.
**Much Love 😀

Amen. I’m definitely gonna do as you’ve said and by God’s grace at work in and for me…I’ll be steps closer to that greater testimony. God bless you for the message and instructions. A great teacher not only explains the problem, she also gives instructions and steps to come out with the result desired. Thanks again Frances. Enjoy ur week

My weekend was very hectic, but, now I get to rest as I have a whole week off 🙂 Guess you had an awesome weekend, Frances. Like you mentioned earlier – we have to keep speaking His words to Him – Nothing returns to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). I am ever so ready for greater, and I have picked a goal (can’t wait to meet you at the greater things zone). Thanks so very much, Frances, and may God keep blessing you. He needs more soldiers like you xx

Very inspiring! The work part must be added on to the bricks of getting to greatness. Unfortunately the enemy tricks us with laziness, half baked work or complacency in the working, and many times procrastination.
What best way to enter that greatness but to spend time with Greatness Himself, Jehovah? And then diligence to that which is necessary…
    Thanks for this inspiration!

Words of wisdom are refreshing to the soul. To achieve greatness we have really got to pay the price. Often times ,the price is not easy but in the end it is always worth it..Bless your heart dear. Happy new yr

Yes Tosin,it may not be easy, but that’s why the place of greater isn’t crowded, only few are ready to do the work. But I pray for grace for us all…
      Thanks dear.

Well said Barr. Okoro Frances. Real food for thought for me. Greatness doesn’t come from dreaming the dream but from working the work. We shall all be great by God’s grace
